**Job Summary/Responsibilities**
AECOM is seeking a full-time Structural Engineering Designer to work at either our Denver or Colorado Springs, CO locations. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-orientated, quality-focused individual with a minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. The candidate will provide general drafting and modeling expertise for structural engineering projects. Responsibilities include developing Revit models, managing construction drawings and details based on engineer input, and maintaining drafting standards on a department and/or project basis. Tasks also include analyzing sketches, notes, and other materials to complete drawings, and include interpreting other structural, architectural, MEP and civil drawings and models. Candidate will be expected to manage Revit models throughout life of project. Candidate shall be comfortable developing models and drawings from origination. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred. We are looking for someone with great communication skills who enjoys being part of a team and working on exciting projects.
Responsibilities:
* Review structural drawings and specifications.
* Create and manage structural models in Revit and BIM360. Layout structural drawings and details.
* Interpret drawing comments from engineers for inclusion into Revit models and construction drawings.
* Develop final construction drawings consistent with industry standards.
* Maintain and manage conformance with specific standards on a project-basis.
* Coordinate with other engineers, architects, and modeling staff to develop accurate construction drawings.
* Draft/detail structural details for construction drawings.
* Complete work according to standard engineering principles and practices and compliance with company standards and quality system procedures.
**Minimum Requirements**
* Associate Degree in Drafting and Design from accredited institution, or equivalent experience
plus two (2) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
* Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
* 4+ years of related experience.
* Comfortable working in a high energy environment with frequent swift deadlines
* Experience in the construction industry
* Proficient in the use of drafting software including Revit and AutoCAD
* Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
**Additional Information**
* This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization
* Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range is $65,000- $85,000.
